How long do I have to file a personal-injury claim in Florida?
Florida shortened the filing deadline for most negligence claims; it is now two years under the 2023 reform (HB 837), and other deadlines can apply to claims against a government entity. Because a missed deadline can end a valid claim, talk to a lawyer early — the sooner you call, the more evidence can be preserved.
